FLOPPY BACKUP:

Select the Ecalc2 or Ecalc folder from the list of folders by clicking it. ecalc2 folder

Click Edit then Select All. select all

Holding down the Ctrl key (V2 only), click Manual.doc and the Tutorial folder in the right-hand pane.
This "deselects" these two items. You do not have these with V1.

Click Edit then Copy.

Insert a blank, formatted floppy.
Select drive A (or B) from the folder list by clicking it. floppy drive

Click Edit then Paste. Files will be copied to floppy.
When the light goes out, remove floppy and label it "ElectriCalc Backup". save to floppy

If you have V1, skip to the step that starts "Insert the floppy labeled ElectriCalc".
Otherwise, go back to the Ecalc2 folder, click Manual.doc, Edit and Copy..

Insert another blank, formatted floppy.
Select drive A (or B) from the folder list by clicking it.
Click Edit then Paste. File will be copied to floppy.
When the light goes out, remove floppy, set Write Protect tab, and label it "ElectriCalc Manual".

Go back to the Ecalc2 folder, click the Tutorial folder, Edit and Copy..

Insert another floppy and select drive A (or B) from the folder list by clicking it.
Click Edit then Paste. Folder will be copied to floppy.
When done, remove floppy, Write Protect, and label it "ElectriCalc Tutorial".

Insert the floppy labeled "ElectriCalc" and select drive by clicking it.

A list of files should appear. If you have V1 or an earlier V2, you must now copy files from the Windows System folder. If your list shows Vbrun300.dll, Threed.vbx, and Cmdialog.vbx (V2 only), then you can skip the remaining steps (remove and Write Protect floppy).

Click on the "+" next to the Windows folder to look at the subfolders.
Scroll down and select the System folder.

Holding down the Ctrl key, select Vbrun300.dll, Threed.vbx, and Cmdialog.vbx (only in V2).

Click Edit then Copy. copy files

Select floppy drive by clicking it. Click Edit then Paste.
Files will be copied to floppy. When the light goes out, remove floppy and Write Protect it.

CD-ROM or ZIP BACKUP:

Select the Ecalc2 or Ecalc folder from the list of folders by clicking it. ecalc2 folder

Look for the file Vbrun300.dll. If you have V1 or an earlier V2, will probably not have this file. You must copy files from the Windows System folder into your ecalc or ecalc2 folder.

Click on the "+" next to the Windows folder to look at the subfolders.
Scroll down and select the System folder.

Holding down the Ctrl key, select Vbrun300.dll, Threed.vbx, and Cmdialog.vbx (only in V2).

Click Edit then Copy. copy files

Select the Ecalc2 or Ecalc folder from the list of folders by clicking it. ecalc2 folder

Click Edit then Paste.
save to floppy

Back up to CD-ROM or ZIP drive by simply copying the ecalc2 folder and its contents.
